The Adidas Rod Laver in a sophisticated brick red color from Dave’s Quality Meat.

Love the blue / orange color with the craft brown soles on these Adidas Skate Gazelles.

It’s 1986 and I’m throwing on my favorite Jimmy’z t-shirt, rolling up my 501’s, lacing up the Air Jordan I’s and pushing up the front of my flat top. I’m headed to Oak Park Mall to go see Pretty in Pink for the second time with the same special someone. Thanks for the memories Mr. Hughes, it wouldn’t have been the eighties without you.

(This is a color shot not B&W) Great looking Air Jordan I Gray on Black colorway that’s scheduled for a fall 09’ release.

Shawn Stussy parted ways with Stussy way back in 1996 and is on the verge of debuting his new line S/Double Studio. To get S/Double Studio started off he’s teamed up with VANS syndicate for some kicks.

Who wins the ultimate summer tennis shoe battle? I’ve gone through at least 3 pair of each shoe in my life and for me the Rod Laver slightly edges out the Stan Smith. If you play a little tennis the Laver’s have a bit more cushioning than the Smith’s. My only beef with the Laver’s and it’s a huge one is that the mesh construction collects dirt (or clay) straight out of the box while the Smith’s leather construction generates a significantly longer and cleaner shoe life. It’s a shame to see that Adidas is no longer putting Rod or Stan’s portraits on the sneaker’s tongues anymore.

Adidas Skateboarding has a brand new site. I’d still like to see a pair of Forum Hi’s added to the product lineup.
